Prayer, it's a POWERFUL thing. How many times do we get down on our hands and knees and pray to the One and Only?
I was at chapel the other day, and was really touched with what the Pastor said. While he was talking, I remembered this picture to the left, it is of a little girl who goes to my church. I took this at VBS where she was on her hands and knees praying for a very long time. She has a beautiful heart, this wonderful child of God.
The pastor asked us the question "How do you develop a steady heart? A heart that does not worry or be anxious, but a heart that trusts in the Lord and a heart that is steady in Him?" He gave us four words to help us...
1. EMBRACE the cross. (Galations 2:17-20)
2. EXCHANGE Our Load for His (Matthew 11:28-30)
3. CHOICE - to choose not to worry and to choose to pray and trust the Lord (Philippians 4:6-7)
4.CONFRONT the issue (Genesis 22:1-14)
What really stood out to me was when he said "Worry is a sign of Pride." It hit me, because I worry... a lot... it really got me to thinking, am I really that prideful? Can I not admit that I need to pray more and get on my hands and knees and trust the Lord with all my worries and my personal load!?
Philippians 4:6-7 "Be anxious for nothing, in eerything by PRAYER AND SUPLLICATION, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the PEACE of God, which surpasses ALL understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
The Lord is so good, so very good! Through ALL things, be like this little girl, get on your hands and knees daily, and pray to God and trust Him, embrace Him, exchange everything for Him, choose Him, and confront all your issues to Him.
Just my thoughts...

This is my cousin Katelynn. Isn't she Beautiful!? My family and I went on vacation over Thanksgiving Break, and the hotel was "made" for kids. They had these really cute bunk beds, and this cute little night light that switched on and off.

Katelynn was absolutely amazed by the light! I hope you can see that in this picture that I took. We would shut it off, and she would turn it right back on and just enjoy the beauty of the light and the warmth.

It really opened my eyes to God's Light in our lives. How we should be like little kids and just be an absolute awe of His light and guidance, as Katelynn is here with the simple night light.

Proverbs 6:23 "For these commands are a lamp, this teaching is a light, and the correction of discipline are the way of life." It is so easy for us... me... to find His commandments as an "inconveniance." when really we need to be realize the commandments are the lamp to guide us in our life, it is something we should be blessed to have, something we should always be happy to have to guide us in the direction that God has planned for us.

My little Katelynn, always looking to the light :) Never accepting the darkness. You try to turn that light off and she will turn it right back on. Lets always be keeping that light on, never shutting it off.

I went for a walk with the Lord on the day where it was 60 degrees in the middle of winter in Michigan... (thats just not normal ;) )
I was reading through John 8 and came across verse 12 "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."
I looked up at that moment and was amazed by the bright sun, I decided to take a picture, and next thing I know I created this photo :) God's beauty is all around us and it amazes me how I take it for granted sometimes. God shows us so much through His creation, it just simply captures me.
Just my thoughts :)
